April 2026
Here's what's new, improved, and fixed on the Grateful platform this month.
New Features
š„ļø New Admin Dashboard - The admin experience has been completely redesigned with a cleaner layout, smoother navigation, and a modern look that matches the user side of the platform. Same features, same data - just better looking and easier to use.
š„ Clone Employee - A new wizard lets you clone an employee record across businesses. Select a source and destination, preview what will be copied, and confirm the run - all from a simple step-by-step flow.
š New Integrations - Nory, Toast, RotaKing, Tissl - Four new integrations for gratuities and time & attendance. If you use any of these systems, your data can now flow directly into Grateful.
āļø Send Admin Invites - Business admins can now send invitation emails to new admin users directly from the employee list. No more manual onboarding steps.
ā±ļø Exact Contracted Hours - There's a new "exact" contracted hours type for employees, allowing precise hour matching instead of estimates.
Improvements
š Workforce Import - Salaried Absence Hours - The Workforce timesheet import now generates absence hours only for salaried employees. Hourly-paid staff are left untouched.
š PAYE ID on Tronc Adjustments - The tronc period adjustment form now shows the employee's PAYE ID, so admins can verify they're adjusting the right person.
ā CSV Import Validation - All imports now validate CSV column headers up front and give a clear error when columns are missing or wrong. This applies across Aloha, Dakota, Fourth, Harri, Kobas, Maki, Opera, Polaris, Stint, Toast, and Zonal services.
ā Negative Tronc Values - Admins can now enter negative tronc values when updating an employee import row.
š Fourth Pay Type Override - You can now override the imported pay type when bringing employees in from Fourth, for both single-site and multi-site setups.
š Fourth Tronc Report - Agency Workers - The Fourth integration tronc report now includes agency worker data.
š„ Workforce Integration Updates - Improved Workforce timesheet imports with better handling of leave requests and shift data.
š Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the Fourth employee import would abort entirely if a single employee failed the multiple-employment check. The import now skips the bad row and continues.
Fixed employee tronc rule notes being recorded multiple times during a single calculation, causing noisy duplicate entries.
Fixed employee imports where multiple employees with the same PAYE ID were mistakenly treated as duplicates. A new PAYE ID normalisation step keeps them distinct.
